You are not your parents, though you share DNA. A song is its own entity, though it was born from the artist. I believe in art and artist. Hit play to get to know the art, keep reading to hear about me, Ash Colors:
Music is my first language, English is second. I’m not so good at talking, conversation can get long winded and clumsy; songs are short and dense. Trying to explain 10 thoughts at once in a conversation is a trainwreck, but works great for songwriting.
I grew up quiet, homeschooled, and constantly listening to music. It was a magnet but also an escape from [ private stuff ]. Radio while building things from Legos, headphones and a toy keyboard while in the car, playing the old stand-up piano in the living room loud when no one's home.
I lost almost 14 years of my life to debilitating health problems. That taught me patience and grit. I kept up the dream, decided I would commit to music for life - I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
I release music to reach people, to buy time to make better work, and to make it easier for someone else to tell the truth in their own life - or just let loose and dance.
I live in Holly, Michigan. Small-town. I love sunsets and dusk, long drives, backyard fires, trails through the woods, blah-blah and lots more stuff. Since this is a Spotify bio i’ll keep it short. If you want to get to know me more - head to AshColors.com and follow on all social - You can help me with my conversation skills. Ha. please and thank you.
