folk tunes for folk freaks
How it started-
I needed a world where I was the main character of my own life; where at least I knew what I was going through; where I could never truly be alone since I was singing with myself. So since a young age, I used music.
One day in 2020, I was brave enough to start releasing my music (made on Bandcamp back then) to YouTube, on my channel (where it still is). I was in highschool, sorting out what to do with my life, and I was tired of being told music is not a good career choice. Since that first Youtube upload, I've called myself a musician by career. Then, I started seeing live shows in 2021. I was blown away by how easy it looked! "That could be me, I could do this too!"
I jumped right in and booked my first show at a DIY venue in Middletown, where one of the organizers went on to become one of my best friends to this day. From her I learned more about music production and live shows over time. I have always been hard-headed about my artwork being mine, so I have learned to do it all from scratch. It's practically a lifestyle. But, I have also learned the beauty of a shared vision.
I draw inspiration from classic americana, folk, electronic, indie and alternative music, but I also attribute the growth of my style to the influence of other musicians and my friends in my local CT/ New England music scene since I joined it in 2021.
