Singer/songwriter Ashley Mendez started singing at the young age of fourteen, performing the National Anthem for the Oakland Athletics. Since then, Ashley has had a European tour, performed on the main stage for San Francisco Pride, and flourished to the top seventy two on Season eight of American Idol. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area with strong roots from Hawaii, Ashley has an eclectic musical background which has differentiated her from other artists. Her first EP “Where it leads”, enabled Ashley to continue her career in Paris where she’s based. Being an American artist in France has been an advantage for Ashley, giving her the opportunities of performing for “Printemps de Bourges” and many stages for Fête de la Musique. Now, Ashley is back with all new material depicting a mature sound and lyrics resonating to all lovers of music.
