California-born, Bengaluru-bred, and now based in LA, ASHWYN (aka Ashwin Sriram) brings a unique, cross-cultural blend of rock, pop, and electronic elements to his music. After making waves as a successful producer in the EDM world, Ashwin felt a pull to lean into his roots as a guitarist and songwriter, rekindling the creative spirit he had growing up. ASHWYN—derived from his name and meaning "light" in Sanskrit—embodies this new vision, embracing authenticity and depth. "This project is about revisiting the pure joy of creating music, the way I did as a kid, without constraints."
Since then, ASHWYN has reached new heights with over three million Spotify streams, ten successful releases, and features in Rolling Stone and BBC Asian Network. His music has also been highlighted on Spotify Editorial Playlists such as Indiestan and Indie Summer.
In 2024, he opened for When Chai Met Toast during their North American tour, bringing his live performances and signature guitar riffs to new audiences. His recent singles, The One That I Turn To and Home Is Where The Heart, meld indie sounds with electronica, a combination that has come to define ASHWYN’s distinct style—grounded in his heritage yet unmistakably modern.
