Asia Antonia Pearson was born and raised on the Eastside of Detroit, Michigan on July 9, 1996. At the age of 5, she began singing in church, which is where she found her voice. At that young age she ventured off into performing in local stage plays around the city for a few years. She later began attending Marvin L. Winans Academy of Performing Arts from grades 5 to 8, where all of her gifts & talents were cultivated. Asia was professionally trained in choir, dance, drama, & orchestra. She attended Arts Academy in the woods for high school and continued training & competing with the advanced choir ensemble; she also became an advance ballerina for 2 years. After graduating in 2014, Asia began singing as a background vocalist for a few local artists. It wasn't until 2019 that Asia really began taking herself serious as an artist & a songwriter. May 16, 2019 she wrote, recorded, and released her very first single “With You”, which she later entered into a contest hosted by her favorite artist Eric Bellinger that same year. Asia's single was voted number 1 and was held there consecutively for a few weeks. However, it was announced that another artist won the competition to receive a feature from Eric Bellinger. In that same announcement, Eric Bellinger offered to sign to her his label. On September 5, 2020 she signed as the very first official Artist to YFS.
