Asinis

Asinis is a Latvian progressive rock and heavy music ensemble that has been crafting its unique sound since 2018, blending psychedelia, world music, and experimental atmospheres. The band members have previously performed in acts such as <a href="spotify:artist:2wQxkewXFxYEzs6ulaCY2V" data-name="Eschatos">Eschatos</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6HazAYjlSIZxhTx0UyFleI" data-name="Protean">Protean</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:574C1WvrFMvaEtrCs7Zncq" data-name="Elkupe">Elkupe</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7oEQN8PnkDI0rQJFFMoAf0" data-name="Nekad">Nekad</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4zmaeQmhfvZ6XGaciBdVrK" data-name="Pulse of Nebulae">Pulse of Nebulae</a>, Seborrhea, Anpher, and others.
Originally formed as an instrumental trio, the band has since evolved into a six-member lineup. Their sound features energetic guitar lines, searing saxophone passages, massive ambient layers, intricate rhythmic structures, and hypnotic vocal landscapes. Asinis is known for intense, visually immersive live performances and richly layered musical material.
In 2024, the band released the mini-album <a href="spotify:album:3cSIzNm2BBYd4Exxk4Im3C" data-name="God Simulacrum">God Simulacrum</a>, featuring <a href="spotify:artist:1776d94cWvJL4Pwp2I1oFa" data-name="Uģis Jansons">Uģis Jansons</a> on saxophone, while their debut full-length album Mirrors and Madness is expected in late 2025.
