Benedict Antonio D. Alagde, Better known as Asiong De Luna, is shaking up the local music scene as a rap artist. He started in 2018, when he uploaded a video of himself on twitter rapping about the struggles of the youth and his perspective as a student. Before long his songs began gaining popularity on spotify and other digital music outlets.
 
There’s a sentimental story to how he came up with his rap name “Asiong” refers to “Asiong Salonga : Hari ng Tondo” the last movie he watched with his father who was shot in Tondo, Manila. “De Luna” is his grandfather’s middle name.
