An assegai is a slender spear or javelin primarily used in the Bantu-speaking areas of Africa. A formidable weapon – as lethal as it was innovative. The spear has given name to a constellation of four guys from Aarhus playing from each of their musical dispositions towards a chaotic yet distinct center.
Assegai consists of Thomas Nørgaard (bass), Markus Sollid (saxofon), Kristian Obling (guitar), and Jesper Moeslund (drums), together they create an odd type of instrumental rock-music, that is just as reminiscent of their ancestral moorlands and oakwoods as of distant savannahs and deserts.
