Formed in August of 2017, Aster and Ivy is an American indie pop band based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Aster and Ivy first began as an solo-acoustic project, but quickly changed direction after chance encounters with soon-to-be members.
Aster and Ivy is comprised of vocalist Ruben Colaci, guitarist Mitch Fountain, guitarist Irno Kola, bassist Ryan Cox, and drummer Quinn Alexander.
Upon release of their freshman EP “Tell Me Pretty Things,” the group realized the potential in what they had created. Increased attention on streaming platforms, social media, and at shows propelled Aster and Ivy into a position of legitimacy, with eager fans awaiting more music.
Previously amassing over 100k streams, thousands of monthly listeners, and a passionate online fan base, Aster and Ivy released their newest single “Tsunami.” Tsunami is a reverb heavy indie pop song with nods to modern jazz and Latin music. The release of this single has marked a turning point in the musical direction that Aster and Ivy will embark upon.
