A long journey ahead from just a highschool competition band project in 2014 until 2018, Astera took a step to rebrand their movement. Grow as group-of-4 which before consisting Rio, Chandra, Dode, and Bagus, they experimenting on new brand identity, and music fundamental. Influenced by melodic guitar-driven touched up with pop style produced a sound that proved generational, locking their leftfield indie rock songs into the hearts and minds of young teenagers discovering music for the first time.
Over past few years, Astera released singles, EP & Album that have resonated with fans all around Asia. Astera make up the quintessential touring band, headlining shows, and festivals across Bali & Java, in the mid of 2023 Astera keep the momentum with the release of their sophomore album, Better Days.
Starting from 2024, Astera take a movement as Trio group as Bagus are unable to continue his journey due to healthy matters. Until nowadays, this group are consisting Rio, Chandra, and Dode.
