ASTRID is not a throwback. She's a transmission.
Fronted by sisters Matilda and Ida, ASTRID is a Swedish synth-pop duo conjuring the spirit of the 80s with haunting vocals, shimmering pads, and melodies built to echo across neon-lit nights.
Behind the production is Johan “Kermit” Bobäck — a seasoned songwriter and producer whose credits include international pop icons and chart-topping hits. The duo blends raw emotion, analog warmth, and cinematic atmosphere into a sound that’s both nostalgic and brand new.
Drawing inspiration from Depeche Mode, Real Life, and Propaganda, ASTRID is the soundtrack for dreamers, loners, late-night drivers, and anyone who’s ever wished they could rewind time just to feel something again.
Their debut single “Song from the Past” marks the beginning of a journey rooted in timeless sound and heartfelt storytelling.
