ASTROVAN, a mid-western freight train speeding through the heartland carrying riffs, rhythms and intoxicating melodies. This power trio from East of Cincinnati’s unique blend of outlaw indie rock will leave you breathless, sweating and asking for more.
After more than a decade spent absent from the music scene Mikal Crist (vocals/guitar) decided to dust off the song writing chops and give it another crack. After learning two of his daughter’s friend’s dads happen to be local punk rock royalty, Steve Ashmore (bass) and Jacob Shidler (drums) provided the wheels that got ASTROVAN rolling down the tracks.
An unprecedented band of which all three members are also recipients of the prestigious, “Best Girl Dad in the World” award.
