Asya Fateyeva is a leading figure of the classical saxophone, bringing the instrument to the forefront with her vision and versatility. Born in Crimea, she captivates audiences with programs uniting styles from Baroque and Classical to Romantic, contemporary music, jazz, and world music. Her playing is marked by technical brilliance, emotional depth, and a unique sound. In 2014, she made history as the first woman to reach the finals of the International Adolphe Sax Competition in Belgium, securing third place. Since then, she has established the saxophone in the classical music scene. She has performed worldwide with orchestras such as the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, SWR Symphony Orchestra, and MDR Symphony Orchestra, under conductors like Robin Ticciati and Vladimir Spivakov. In 2024/25, she appears with Kammerakademie Potsdam, Ensemble Resonanz, Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, and Lautten Compagney Berlin, with whom she released the acclaimed Album "Dancing Queen." Fateyeva is also dedicated to chamber music and teaches saxophone in Hamburg and Lübeck. The press praises her unique sound and stage presence.
