Asya, Eskişehir’de dünyaya geldi. Lise eğitimi sırasında, Milliyet Gazetesi’nin düzenlediği yarışmada en iyi solist dalında birinci oldu. Ankara’da Grup Angora‘nın solistiyken pop ve jazz şarkılar söyledi. Bir gün sahnedeyken, performansına hayran kalan Türk pop müziğinin en önemli isimlerinden Nilüfer’le tanıştı ve dört yıl boyunca vokalistliğini yaptı. 1990 yılında, Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması finalinde yarıştı. 1992’de Kuşadası Altın Güvercin Yarışması’nda birincilik ödülü aldı. 1994’te Nilüfer prodüktörlüğündeki ilk albümüyle, Türk pop müziğinin sevilen isimleri arasına girdi. Yayınladığı birçok şarkı unutulmaz klasikler arasındaki yerini aldı. Müzik çalışmalarına, üretmeye devam ediyor.

While she was the soloist for Grup Angora in Ankara, she sang pop and jazz songs. One day while she was on stage, she met Nilüfer, one of the most important figures in Turkish pop music, who was impressed by her performance, and she worked as Nilüfer's backing vocalist for four years. In 1990, she competed in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1992, she won the first-place prize at the Kuşadası Golden Pigeon Competition.
