Asyllex

Hailing from the southernmost island of the musically inhabited Faroe Islands, Suðuroy - literally translates to 'Southern Island'. Asyllex was founded in 2011 and the band saw changes in its core line-up up until the debut album 'War Order' was released in March 2017, while in the same year Asyllex won the Faroese edition of the international music competition 'Wacken Metal Battle' and were sent to compete in the finals at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany. In 2018 Asyllex won Artist of the year at the Faroese Music Awards voted by the public. The band has been time and time again praised for their energetic and passionate live perfomances. Since then the band has taken a step back to evolve and grow their sound and to finish their 2nd studio album, to be released in summer 2020. The members of the band consist of Hans Hammer who takes the lead on vocals and guitar, Andreas Jacobsen on rythm guitar, Finnur Nielsen who plays the bass guitar and Bogi Petersen on the drumset.
