ASYMMETRY, the progressive/power metal band, began its journey in 2006, initially as a studio project. They recorded their first demos in 2007, but the real breakthrough came in 2011 when Aleksandar and Radomir joined as permanent members. In December 2012, the band released their EP "Room 17: Hours Between Shadows and Light," which received excellent reviews and marked a strong debut. Their live performances started soon after, including a notable gig opening for FATES WARNING in Belgrade in November 2014.
In September 2016, ASYMMETRY released "Fragility," a significant full-length album. Lasting 50 minutes, this album features complex and powerful progressive metal tracks, with vocals that effectively convey the story of the Aral Sea. "Fragility" combines elements of progressive/power metal with a nod to the '90s prog-metal scene, and includes a range of influences from hard rock to death metal.
After a hiatus from 2017 to 2020, ASYMMETRY regrouped and started working on new material. Their latest single, "Business as Usual," released at the end of 2023, is a preview of their highly anticipated album "Remnants of Life," set for release in 2024. This upcoming album signifies not just a return, but a new, more dynamic and energetic phase for the band, showcasing their renewed enthusiasm and creativity.
