Atabak Elyasi is an independent composer, arranger and poet. He studied composition at the music department of Tehran University of Arts with M.A where he has been the head of the composition department for 12 years.
He has been working with Mahsa and Marjan Vahdat for 20 years. They have had a long lasting musical collaboration during which he composed, arranged, wrote the poetry and played in some of their albums like “I am Eve“, ”Songs from a Persian Garden”, “Twinklings of Hope”, and “Placeless”. The last album performed with the Kronos Quartet.
Atabak has also developed a long and intense pedagogical experience in teaching classical Persian music for nearly 3 decades for Iranian and non Iranian students and have led many projects as mentors for his students.
