Athalie was born in Winterpark Florida USA, but raised in Baltimore Maryland USA. As a child, he traveled with his father before laying roots in West Baltimore. It’s within Baltimore that Athalie’s love of music and art was seeded. As a teen, he spent his Saturday mornings attending art programs partnered by MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art). The exposure to different genres of music and open expression within his peers, impressed a passion for exploring the possibilities of sound. Also gifted in athletics, Athalie attended Pfeiffer University as a student athlete where he received a degree in Communication . At the commencement of his college tenure, Athalie made the decision to move to Los Angeles, California USA and pursue music. Since arriving in Los Angeles in 2014, Athalie has released a series of mixtapes (The Entry Level, Intolerable Executive, and Homage). Athalie’s sharp lyrical delivery over genre bending sounds caught the attention of Los Angeles based super producer duo The Psyclones. The duo collaborated with Athalie and (Fox’s The Four) singer Saeed SRSoul Renaud to produce the track “Unbreakable,” featured in the movie “The Challenger” starring the late Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile) & S. Epatha Merkerson (Chicago Med). Fresh off his latest EP Trap or Treat, the Maryland native doesn’t intend on slowing down. Be on the look-out for more to come.
