Danish-Greek Athina writes sublime tear-soaked and nostalgic songs full of soul, and floating hopeful mid-tempo tracks that puts her on the map as one of those rare talents who is able to unite past and future, tears and laughter and a warm Southern vibe combined with the coolness of the North.
As feminist with a background in performance design Athina uses her voice and body as a canvas for powerful messages about vulnerability, female empowerment and the environment.


Athina released her first single, Stay, in September 2018. She was predicted “a bright future in music” by Scandinavia’s largest music magazine Gaffa while Danish Radio’s Karrierekanonen called her: “The quintessence of Nordic noir”. Athina’s latest single Waterproof got premiered by the American Magazine Nakid. She was one of the first artists in Denmark to play courtyard concerts during Covid19 getting both local and national tv attention, while several German radio stations picked up on her song “Waterproof”.

Athina is newly signed onto Beachy Records (SME), and the song Is it Any Wonder is co-produced by Ronni Vindahl. The two of them met at a Spotify Equalizer dinner. Her songs balances between Hollywood vintage and her Mediterranean heritage that is obvious in her instrumental sound and composition – a musical standpoint and worldview that is the bearing essence of Athina’s universe.
