In February of 1987, Gerald and Roberta Terry founded the Atlanta Music Hall. Located in a small town just north of Indianapolis, over the next thirty years, the music hall evolved to include twice-a-month jam sessions open to anyone who could play an instrument, and a Saturday evening show with a set group of musicians. Roberta affectionately refers to the music hall as an extension of their living room.
Founding members Gerald 'Catfish' Terry (Banjo) and Greg Duncan (Piano) have passed away. Their legacy has been carried forward by a new generation of guest musicians and band members who take to the hall to perform and play music. Principal band members include John Newby on Saxophones, Steve Newby on Guitar, Daniel Hicks on Keys, Greg Gegogeine on Bass, and a rotating cast of Drummers including Philip Newby, Chris Davis, and many others.
To celebrate new beginnings and the continuation of the Hall’s Legacy, the band recorded a 7-track album entitled ‘Chapter 32’, in 2019, as a nod to the band's thirty-second year of playing together. Follow up album 'Chapter 33' was recorded in the fall of 2020 and released on November 7th, 2020.
