Atomic Cafe is an indie/psychedelic rock band from Minneapolis. Starting as a recording project for high school friends Harry Miles and Nathaniel Essma, and later adding Ben Engen, Ben Lohrding, and Sean Latter to the lineup, the group began playing to packed basements and parties around the Twin Cities.
Inspired by modern garage and psychedelic bands such as Twin Peaks, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and The Strokes, Atomic Cafe blends sporadic guitar pop melodies with dense instrumentation and production to create jangly pop jams and atmospheric ballads.
