Aubrey Noronha is part of a new generation of old souls. From Toronto’s east, on his musical plate you’ll find a little love for and influence from the likes of Sam Cooke, Babyface, Lenny Kravitz, Raphael Saadiq, and yes even Foo Fighters.
He’s been making gradual noise as a singer-songwriter in the industry since 2008 collaborating with artists such as Toronto’s own @Promise and @Manafest dropping R&B essence on top of hip hop and pop singles and finishing as a runner up in the Toronto CNE Rising Star Competition. Although having roots in folk and rock from a young age, Noronha likes to settle into the R&B/acoustic soul/blues sound on the regular.
He is featured on the Urban Revival brand’s Then and Now Mixtape and released his first single “Go the Distance (Stay Inside)” in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help bring hope.
