Behind Audiobell is Swedish music producer and sound designer Lars Westin. Active in music and sampling since the mid-1980s, he has moved between roles: composing in various collaborations, scoring and designing sound for independent films, and contributing to sample-based projects for companies across Europe and the United States, including Steinberg Media Technologies, Univers Sons, Clavia DMI, and East West. Through his label Precisionsound, he has developed more than one hundred sample libraries.
In his current workflow, he treats generative AI as another creative instrument: he feeds the system his own melodies, beats, and chord structures, prompts it for alternative arrangements, and then brings the results back into the studio for traditional processing, editing, and mixing. Audiobell is a multimedia art project that combines music and visuals.
