Augur

Augur started in late 2018 at an unexpected car sale. Brandon and Keith had already been in a band, Illusion, where they originally met back in 2013, and at the time of Augur’s formation, hadn’t been in a band for months.. Keith’s father was selling a car to Peter’s sister, when Peter heard Keith drumming from inside Keith’s garage. Peter stepped in and explained that he was a metalhead who was into guitar and drums. Keith and Peter would jam for the next few weeks, switching back and forth who would play guitar and who would play drums. Keith was confident in his ability to play guitar, but had a liking towards Peter’s heavy and intricate riffs. That’s when Keith made the call for Peter to play guitar, with Keith on drums. After about a month, Keith told Brandon about a new guitarist and the 3 jammed for almost a year, covering songs and writing a few riffs. In August of 2019, Augur had, from a certain point of view, their first show at an event on the outskirts of Vernon. Later that year, Augur would extend a hand for Mason to join. Brandon and Keith knew Mason from Padova. Keith and Mason were even, for one show, in a band together, performing Fade to Black at a recital for Lee’s Music. Mason accepted to join, and Augur was finally ready to write, gig, and share music in general.
