Augustin d’Assignies is a pianist and composer. He began his career playing in the jazz clubs of Paris, his hometown, then became a touring musician with several celebrated pop artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:6OkX55UMCw4Hgc5HM4zr7K" data-name="Ayọ">Ayọ</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:50OApTJurDusIo9dGTqSU4" data-name="Lilly Wood and The Prick">Lilly Wood and The Prick</a>. In 2020, he shifted his focus back on the acoustic piano and started two projects of his own: a solo act under the influence of Debussy and the American minimalists, and Moonsüün, a trio performing ambient, improvised music. Augustin’s works, at once sophisticated and accessible, immerses the listener in a peaceful and dreamy form of melancholy.
