Austin Young

After writing my first song when I was 16, this collection of music is 27 years in the making. With just me and my guitar, I have written over 40 songs, 23 of which are on this album. Recording my first song (Ribbit) when I was 18 and the last two (Life Is Beautiful and The Caboose) in 2022 with my tiny recording studio at home, I have written about many life experiences that have come and gone throughout all those years. There are personal songs such as 'In Loving Memory' after my grandfather passed away in 2005. 'Brightest Star' when my mother passed in 2020. 'The Day I Met Her' remembering seeing my future wife in high school for the first time. I play guitar for both my kids (now teenagers) before they go to bed and my daughter Alexis helped me in writing a fun little song called 'Dollar Store'. You'll hear them lend their vocals at the end. I thank you and hope you enjoy listening to the songs as much as I enjoyed writing and recording them.
