Autorytmer was formed in Trollhättan 1981 and was one of the first synthesizer groups in Sweden. The band did some gigs and recorded songs in the studio but none of them was released during their active time. In 1985 they turned down a contract with Bert Karlssons label Mariann Records with Paul Paljett as an intended manager. 1986 the band moved to Gothenburg but in the same year the band split up when the singer Raimo Käkelä sign a contract to play football in the highest division in Sweden for Västra Frölunda.
