After spending some time writing and recording jazz, prog rock
and even modern beats and eager to try something new, the
Swedish composer J. Ekstrom turned his musical attention
towards the New Age genre. In 2009 the Autumn Kites project
saw it´s first daylight resulting in the album “Water Tales” ,
released in february 2011. The music is a blend of electronic and
ethnic moods.A second album was released in july 2015, titled “Whispering Winds”.
This album holds mainly ambient and downtempo songs with piano and flute melodies on top of lush synth textures.
In september (6th) 2024, after a long hiatus , a third album titled "Earth Songs", was released, which completes the trilogy.
