Autumn Rhodes, a band formed in Southern Utah, came onto the scene in 2003. The group was composed of lifelong friends Kevin Hill, Paul Bartholomew, Ryan Randall, Drew Davidson, and Kyle Wilson. They quickly distinguished themselves in the state scene, combining youthful pop energy with a sound influenced by bands like Saosin, At The Drive In, Thrice, and Underoath.
In 2005, Autumn Rhodes recorded their EP, collaborating with members of A Thorn For Every Heart. This release was met with popularity in emo circles, catapulting them to the top of the list of unsigned bands in Utah on Myspace. The band's rise in popularity was evident as they shared stages with notable artists of the time such as Saosin, Meg & Dia, Lydia, From First To Last, The Brobecks, The Higher, Limbeck, and more.
Despite their early success, Autumn Rhodes disbanded in 2007. This dissolution was partly due to some members committing to religious duties. Meanwhile, Ryan and Drew went on to form In: Aviate, which later signed with Rise Records.
Autumn Rhodes left a lasting mark on Utah's 2000's music scene. They played a crucial role in shaping the musical landscape in Southern Utah, especially with the support of the Electric Theater in downtown St. George. Their music, penned when the members were just 17, resonates with the energy and creativity of a band that truly left an imprint on the region's cultural fabric.
