Auxiliary Phoenix is a producer and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Carlow, Ireland who draws from a vast pool of influences, notably future jazz, progressive rock and hip-hop, to create a sound that is truly unique.
His inimitable style has been shown love throughout the music world, including such icons as Thundercat, Mike Gao & Divine Styler, and his entry was chosen by R.A.P. Ferreira as winner of the inaugural Ruby Yacht Beat Battle. He has worked on collaborations with underground hip hop legends such as Vast Aire, Quelle Chris, Denmark Vessey, D-Sisive, s.al, SB the Moor & Pink Navel, along with producing official remixes for the likes of underground icon Divine Styler, Lisa Papineau (Air) & various Irish acts such as Shookrah, Yonen & windings.
Exploring sounds from wonky beats, bass music, experimental hip hop, rap and jazz fusion on his recent releases, the past few years have seen him enter deeper into the jazz world, starting with the 2017 EP 'Camelopardalis' and live performances with his trio throughout Ireland, culminating with his debut full length LP 'Petrichor' in 2021.
