Awa Manneh

Swedish/Gambian singer Awa Manneh started writing songs at the age of 10 and was signed to Universal Publishing at the age of 15. Growing up with childhood heroes like Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Randy Crawford, as well as the RnB era of the 90’s with Mary J Blige, Faith Evans, Boys II Men and later Lauryn Hill, her heart lay steady in the soulful vibes. In Scandinavia she’s most known for the singles ”Hip hop Ballad” ”Behind Schedule” (Can I get a witness) (Sony/Columbia) from the album ”Sounds like me” that rendered her 3 Swedish Grammy nominations among which one was as ”Producer of the year” at the age of 21.

Awa has since then been seen on multiple collaborations with artists such as Swedish dance duo Tyken (”Every word”), French producer/dj Demon, Mr. Vegas, Hip hop legend Buckshot among others. She co-wrote and performed the song ”All your lovin'” for the 10 year anniversary album of Swedish live super group Blacknuss which lead to a longer period touring with the group. She’s also written songs for other artists like reggae stars Gramps Morgan, Maxi Priest and Sanchez among others.
