Founded in 2006, Nevada's Away Station were inspired by the sounds of U2 and Seal, among others. Though the group had already signed a deal with Epic Records by the end of that year, it was a short-lived partnership -- while recording with producers Stacy Jones and Bill Lefler, Aaron Bowsher (vocals, keyboards), Marcus Affeldt (guitar), Tyler Klimas (drums), and Stephen Waite (bass) received word that their A&R representatives had been dismissed and the band consequently released from the label. Despite these setbacks, the band finished four songs, released an EP, and signed a deal with MySpace Records. ~ Katherine Fulton, Rovi
