AWGdeejay

Andrea Guglielmino (known as AWGdeejay), class of '96, is originally from Catania, Sicily. Growing up with a strong musical influence thanks to his father, a jazz saxophonist, Andrea explored electronics during high school and debuted as a DJ in 2017.

After a few years, in 2021, AWGdeejay gets a certificate in Ableton Live and music production, mix & mastering at Mat Academy in Rome. On March 10, 2022, he releases his fourth EP, “Green Apocalypse,” with Bach Music Records, approaching his “Psychedelic Techno” style that mixes Minimal, Hypnotic and Deep Driving Techno with a unique imprint characterized by liquid synths and complex rhythms. His performances lead him to perform at international festivals such as Bohemian in Portugal.

In 2022, he launched the techno party DROM and opened concerts for prominent artists such as Quelza, Radical Softness, Baugruppe90, Ruiz OSC1, Tensal, Yanamaste and Ur Trax, also gaining support from international artists such as Quelza, Amine Khob and Franco Rossi thanks to his productions and DJsets.

In 2024, AWGdeejay collaborated with Sicilian folk band Ciauda, taking Sicilian music to a new level through an innovative fusion with electronics. This collaboration earned him the “Best Sicilian Artist” award. In the same year, he released his latest EP, “PHRANCE EP,” on Xelima Records, an Argentinian label.
