AYME: Young, fresh, and R&B. The up and comer sets the scene with her independent single “Wish you well”. AYME’s soft, kaleidoscopic vibe is easily characterised by the contrast of melodic/memorable lyrics against the r&b/drill beat in “Wish you well”. Native to the small metropolis known as Oxford, AYME is not your average city girl. She grew up inspired by the gut-wrenching vocals of singers such as Beyoncé, Gwen Staffani, and Alicia Keys, which stimulated her childhood and early years. Vocals which the artist claims inflamed her love for Music and influenced her involvement in Musical academia. Much like some of her beloved faves, AYME’s musical career began in a girl group which made an appearance on the X Factor in 2015. However, “Wish you well” marks the beginning of AYME’s journey as a solo vocalist and songwriter aiming to share relatable stories through her sweet, melodic harmonies.
