Ayra is a melodic Heavy - power metal band from The Canary Islands (Spain), with members from spanish bands like Hybris (Tenerife) or
Apôcrifa (Gran Canaria).
The band was formed in 2014 when Yeray López (guitarist) and Kino Nietsa (singer) decided to work in a new metal project. Both musicians had in mind to share some recorded ideas and work on them. Later, they decided to search other musicians for the band, which was finally completed with the drummer Alberto Fuentes, José Luis Sánchez as bassist and Mario Díaz as keyboardist.
Ayra plays a power, progressive and heavy metal style, trying to make songs with melodic overtones but with the energy of the progressive rhythmic bases. As the band's members have several albums on the market, they bring together a long experience that has encouraged them to take the international leap; hoping to expand the borders of their country of origin, Spain.
Their first album "Silent Veil" was released in October 2020.
