Guitarist Aytun Gelgin has had a passion for music from a young age; his professional music career has been inspired by his father and the musicians within his immediate circle. He started his musical education by taking classical guitar, theory and solfege lessons from Doğan Canku.
Later, when he was admitted to the Istanbul Bilgi University Department of Music, he settled in Istanbul and continued his music studies here. During this period, he had the opportunity to work with Neşet Ruacan, Aydın Esen, Ali Perret and many other talented musicians before graduating successfully.
Gelgin, who has been working as an instructor and studio musician for many years, has accompanied many beloved musicians on stage with his guitar, including: Cem Karaca, Ajda Pekkan, Mazhar Alanson, Ebru Gündeş, Edip Akbayram, Ziynet Sali, İlyas Yalçıntaş, Turhan Yükseler, Hakan Aysev, Zeynep Dizdar, Sibel Tüzün and Can Gox.
The guitarist also worked with the award-winning musical Avenue Q as well as with popular bands such as Suxe, Diskopat, Kırık Plak, HighMood Band and Anadolu Express. He has also appeared in multiple primetime TV shows over the past many years.
Continuing his career without slowing down, Aytun Gelgin's first solo album "PATH" greets audiences on all digital platforms.
