Her personality is multi-faceted, her sound is versatile: Hamburg based Swiss singer, songwriter and producer AYU celebrates pop in her very own variety. From soft to tempestuous the artist creates a mixture of contemporary Pop, Electronics from different decades and smooth Indie waves. She calls it Trip-Pop.

In 2018 AYU played her first festival season in Europe, e.g. Gurtenfestival Bern (w/ <a href="spotify:artist:3AA28KZvwAUcZuOKwyblJQ" data-name="Gorillaz">Gorillaz</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0bdfiayQAKewqEvaU6rXCv" data-name="MØ">MØ</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3XHO7cRUPCLOr6jwp8vsx5" data-name="alt-J">alt-J</a> or <a href="spotify:artist:7f0OLhGgBMX9fUjm1dcPip" data-name="Alice Merton">Alice Merton</a>) or Moon and Stars Locarno (w/ <a href="spotify:artist:5CCwRZC6euC8Odo6y9X8jr" data-name="Rita Ora">Rita Ora</a> or <a href="spotify:artist:7sfgqEdoeBTjd8lQsPT3Cy" data-name="Emeli Sandé">Emeli Sandé</a>) or L-Beach Festival, where after her gig on the newcomer stage she could jump in on the main stage for <a href="spotify:artist:6PBv8t9YTLggA9ZMwpeoqj" data-name="Joan As Police Woman">Joan As Police Woman</a>. In autumn she supported the German shows of <a href="spotify:artist:34vLhockmYhf3LgznwyNaQ" data-name="POLIÇA">POLIÇA</a> x <a href="spotify:artist:6ArmVuGn8UtsupvhL3suRy" data-name="stargaze">stargaze</a> or <a href="spotify:artist:42WJFNdxsAgcn9PfjT61Z3" data-name="Eleanor Friedberger">Eleanor Friedberger</a>. AYU released her debut single Kings &amp; Queens in the summer of 2018. In 2019 AYU released 3 more songs: <a href="spotify:album:6d45HP3rVUuY5hFZvLpBpX" data-name="Another Mess, I">Another Mess, I</a>, <a href="spotify:track:6q8GMhLH8geWHVgEp82uFf" data-name="Throw Roses">Throw Roses</a> and Striking Matches. She played 4 shows at Reeperbahn Festival and support shows e.g. as opening act for <a href="spotify:artist:7oDTyDfeA2JE2jUZztkBj8" data-name="Vök">Vök</a> or <a href="spotify:artist:0ygIgsjUzKivFgxgjQ9iV9" data-name="Jacques Greene">Jacques Greene</a>. In March 2020 she released her debut EP <a href="spotify:album:32dazsP6nG2P9QjEciOUAj" data-name="I Changed My Mind">I Changed My Mind</a>. Therefore she was named &#39;Best Talent&#39; of the month April on SRF 3. In 2022 she released 3 new EPs: <a href="spotify:track:311tFqhUvwYmwI7T2nKdyk" data-name="In Waves">In Waves</a>, <a href="spotify:album:2zb4ve38fAP8R8fORfph7x" data-name="Double Trouble">Double Trouble</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:track:7L4ILHHGVLjEdSRUF0mGfe" data-name="Synchronicity">Synchronicity</a> &#43; went on GSA tour with <a href="spotify:artist:4FrXHrpbDLNyO3pbVv8RmF" data-name="Sophie and the Giants">Sophie and the Giants</a>. Now she‘s back in the studio.
