B. Angelique fell in love with music at a young age, sighting Hip Hop music as her favorite. As Hip Hop grew to become her genre of choice, she began writing rhymes at age 13. It wasn’t until responding to God’s call to salvation at age 19 that she devoted her life and artistic expression in service to Jesus and His gospel.

B. Angelique’s musical influences range from emcees of the golden era to the voices of CHH today. Artists such as Lauryn Hill, Nas, Taelor Gray, and Eshon Burgundy are among those who have impacted her artistic expression.
