His father, a music teacher and pianist, introduced him to jazz and R&B during his childhood. Martin began learning the piano at the age of ten and later developed an interest in music production. DJ Kent, Kaytranada, Heavy K, Four7 and his late father are his musical influences.
Martin released his debut album, Matters of the Heart, in February 2024. The project included a collaboration with two-time South African Music Awards (SAMAs) nominee D'Low (musician). His single Sunday Morning was nominated at the Cape Town Artist Awards, and Lemonade received a nomination at the 021 Music Awards.
