Babalon: The Mystical Journey of an Occult-Inspired Rock Band
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2016, Babalon is an alternative rock band with a deep occultist spirit and English lyrics. Their unique sound has captivated audiences since their debut EP, "As Above So Below." With haunting singles like "Prey On" and "The Death Of God," and their first album, "The Working," Babalon quickly made a name for themselves.
Their journey includes powerful live performances, such as a sold-out show at The Roxy in Buenos Aires and participating in the Ciudad Emergente Festival. Despite the pandemic's disruption, they continued to create and engage their audience. They returned to the stage in 2021 with two sold-out shows and opened for the Swedish band Hardcore Superstar at The Roxy in 2023.
In 2022 and 2023, Babalon recorded new material, leading to "Quantum: Zero," featuring singles like "Rapture" and "A.I.," with a compelling music video for "Rapture." The second part, "Quantum: One," was released in 2024, with "System Failure" as the catchy single. Completing the "Quantum" work which is now available for streaming as well.
Named after biblical references to the 'Mother of all abominations' and the 'Goddess of war and love,' Babalon's music is rich with mystical symbolism, blending audiovisual, compositional, and spiritual elements.
