Baby et Lulu, the Australian, ARIA-nominated, the "just plain irresistible" (The Music) faux-French sensations that are Abby Dobson (Leonardo’s Bride) and Lara Goodridge (FourPlay), make beautiful music together.
Along with their magnifique band of exquisite musicians, they have been seducing audiences with their femme fatale glamour and très witty stage banter and making much loved albums of classic French chansons, as well as their own compositions, since 2009. This is heart-felt, harmonied, stirring music that is, by turns passionate, intense and full-bodied, and as light and effervescent as champagne. Their repertoire includes songs from Charles Aznavour, Françoise Hardy, Edith Piaf, Serge Gainsbourg, Charles Trenet and Camille.
The ‘très charismatic pairing of sexy songstresses’ (AU Review) have performed at WOMADELAIDE, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Brisbane Cabaret Festival, The Famous Spiegeltent, Port Fairy, Woodford Folk Festival, as well as venues such as Brisbane Powerhouse, Adelaide Festival Centre, and Melbourne Arts Centre.
Their new recording ‘Album Trois’ is scheduled to be released mid 2020, with singles to be released ahead of that.
