BABY MALA was born and raised in the suburb of Hisingen, Gothenburg. Brought up in a musical family, she spent many hours in her father’s studio as a child. There she would write her first verses and the foundation of the artist she’s aspiring to become.
With a hectic upbringing, MALA sought solace through various forms of art, which resulted in her getting into dancing and acting at a very young age. Growing up around 90’s RnB & Hiphop, samba and Latino-inspired music, Baby Mala is now channeling that into her new chapter of her life.
