When it comes to dropping audio dope, Alabama’s Prince Baby Soda has the recipe. While the South has risen to the top of the rap food chain, the talent out of Alabama has yet to equal up to some of its fellow states that reside below the Mason-Dixon Line. Native MCs likes Yung Bleu, Honeykomb Brazy, Flo Milli, OMB Peezy, No Cap and Rylo Rodriguez have recently put it down for the state. Now, the Birmingham-raised, Georgia-based spitta, Soda, is working on shaking things up with his Arm & Hammer grammar. Born, Joel Hill, Soda’s first taste of music came in his hometown’s Ruff Pro Productions studio, where he would frequent as a teen. By the age of 14, he had been bitten by the rap bug and was focusing on his craft,
while keeping one foot in the streets. Weaving his first-hand block stories into his rhymes, the self-¬proclaimed “gangsta” rapper dropped several projects as his name bubbled in the region and started to expand.
On his ongoing grind, the Third Coast MC has toured the country, sharing bookings and tracks with the likes of MoneyBagg Yo, Finesse2tymes, EST Gee, Money Mu, and many others. This year, Soda is looking to pop. Getting back in his bag, he has releases lined up and ready to introduce to the world. Spearheaded by Alvin Mays and Gregory Fields Jr, Prince Baby Soda has secured a distribution agreement with AMS Enterprise Corp, and this “TRIO” is showing no signs of slowing down.
