babyfaiz is the Lagos-born afro-gbedulist, genre-blurring artist who sounds like late-night drives, half-lit bedrooms, and the moment right before a confession. Raised in Abuja he and his family’s Nigerian roots, faiz grew up translating emotions he couldn’t yet name into melodies on a cracked laptop and a second-hand MIDI keyboard. What started as lo-fi bedroom demos at 16 has quietly snowballed into one of the most addictive new voices in the Nigerian alternative R&B.
