Babylon Sun Origin:
Babylon Sun is a Northwest Arkansas band formed in late 2018 after being approached by 2 old friends wanting to pull me out of a musical retirement. Our intention was to form a swampy blues based sound that has elements of Doom, Stoner, Sludge, Funeral Doom and Drone, while retaining our originality we are not another “Sabbath” clone. We had an amazing start but due to Covid and scheduling issues our 3 piece dismantled and I alone was left to keep waving the Babylon Sun banner. I now am the only original member and bring in guest musicians to fill the voids from time to time. Shortly after taking complete control of the reins I started an Instagram page called Doom Dungeon Riffs now called Doom Dungeon Productions where I demo gear for the Doom, Sludge, Drone, Stoner and beyond. Currently writing new material for our debut album “Babylon Sun” being produced by Jeremiah Johnson of Stem Cell Productions based out of Houston Texas. Currently we have released 2 singles “Nebuchadnezzar” and “Golden Dawn” along with videos that have been received well with the Doom, Sludge and
Drone community.
