Maxx Schlabach and Andrew “Nitty” Nitirouth are the two minds behind BackPocket, a brand new EDM group bursting onto the New York dance scene. Having first met while pursuing their master's degrees in Music Business at NYU, the pair became fast friends and even faster business partners. Blending elements of jazz, classical music, and hip-hop into their electronic music, they strive to bring a unique and melodic style to the genre. Whenever they would throw out wild concepts to design their music around, they would also say to the idea, “let’s keep it in the back pocket”. As their music and brand eventually grew around the idea of blending different genres and styles, they eventually decided that there was no better name than BackPocket itself.
