Backstage Revival

John & Anne Lazenby’s musical journey started before they met, and before they were led to start Backstage Revival. Anne started playing classical piano at an early age, then later learned other instruments, playing and singing in a family bluegrass band with her five siblings through childhood. John was introduced to piano & organ by his father and his 4 older sisters who played at their home at an early age. However John didn’t start any training in music until age 12 with a bass guitar. John was introduced to teen garage bands at that time, and started writing rock & roll songs.


Both Anne and John sang in choirs in their teens and led worship in their local churches as young adults. They married in 2005 and started sharing song inspirations, early recordings, cover recordings, and creative ideas they had for music. Immediately they started writing songs. It didn’t take long before they were sharing their songs with their local church. As their songs’ popularity and encouragement from their congregation grew, they knew they needed to start recording them. After meeting Casey Corum at Wilshire House Studios, they found the perfect place to write, edit, record, engineer, and master their songs.


Now, Backstage Revival is excited to share with you our songs of faith, inspired by our journey with a great and loving God!
