BackstoryDisco is a producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist musician originally from New York and now splits time between Florianopolis Brazil and San Francisco California. Hailing from an eclectic musical background from bassist in punk and reggae bands in his youth to DJing deep house & techno sets in Black Rock City at the epic Burningman fest to various parties and events now spanning across the globe. As dj or Producer, BackstoryDisco continues to expand his fanbase and global reach having numerous releases under his belt now. He continues to mature as a producer carving out and finding his "sound" by blending Techno, House, Burner-Tech, World Beat, and Desert Psychedelic together for a hypotonic rhythm section layered with "weird" sounds and infectious hooks that are thought-provoking, extentential, or glimpse into the mind of the crazy sharing a psychedelic soundscape to groove on.
