Bristol born Backsy has been shutting down stages across Bristol since he first entered the scene in 2020 with his debut single ‘M-Way’. Most notably shutting down both main stage and a Sir Spyro set at Love Saves The Day Festival in 2023.
As a result of the buzz he’s been creating within his Bristolian network: Backsy featured on 4OD series ‘Spitting fire’ in which he came first within his episode (shot in the Bristol Bear Pit). He also featured on a BBC News Bristol article for his feature in the Daboothe & Max cypher series.
Formally he was co-founder of Grime collective ‘Masters of Ceremony’ but since they have disbanded, Backsy now focus’ on his solo releases, fly on the wall studio series ‘S’eshons’ and throwing events for the local scene to thrive and build community.
