“Bad Nana express a post adolescent commentary on life in the north of England. Through their honest lyrics and unfiltered attitude, shrouded in Rock ’n’ Roll inspired instrumentals, describing experiences and emotions of living in a working class environment, the four Manchester boys showcase much needed attention to the angst and expression of current youths and elders alike in a world that wants to find love but is scared to accept it. Drawing inspiration from such artists as The 1975, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Brian Eno and many others, Bad Nana aim to bring back the effects of these bands, their energy and their bravado, and shove it into the face of the 2020s.
Tracks like ‘I Didn’t Know’ attack with a carefree attitude to self referencing, and paired with a driving force of a beat, comes an energetic Rock song with a “I don’t give a f*** attitude”.
And tracks like “Heart” show the same driving musical ability, except with more delicate connotations, preaching about true love, and with the support of emphatic horns and powerful vocal deliveries, Bad Nana create a love song for the present day.
Express every kind of strong emotion through music, from hate to love, sadness to euphoria, disappointment to celebration, mix that together with great chords, add a bit of the truth… What comes out is Bad Nana.” - Fake Mag
